Hosted by KIFF 2025 charity, PHASE Worldwide, ambassador Rosie Swale-Pope will talk about her epic, journey as the first person in history to have undertaken an epic solo, unsupported run around the world.
Rosie has visited almost every culture imaginable and visited hundreds of schools on her travels. Her global experiences talk of hope and a love of humanity. Includes a short film made by students in one of the hardest to reach schools in Rugin, Nepal and a short documentary made by primary school students in Richmond upon Thames.

Films made by students at schools from around the world as young as 8 years old will be screened for the first time.International Films- from Nepal, Ukraine, Cuba, Cambodia and Alaska using techniques from 1920’s silent cinema and snapshots of lives in schools all over the world.UK Short Documentaries – from schools across the UK, several by children at schools here in Kingston about people, places or things of local interest.Featuring interviews with a genetic scientist, opera singer, stuntmen and the founder of Candy Kittens.

This red carpeted event will bring together young filmmakers from across the country to showcase their creativity.
A live performance from local primary school musicians playing live to the premiere of the Kingston 2025 film celebrating the life of Eadweard Muybridge, with archive footage showing Kingston through the ages.
Very special guests from the film industry presenting a range of awards for those young filmmakers who have submitted their short films to the Children’sInternational Film Festival this year for excellence in almost every discipline of filmmaking.
