“Fantastic programme of films, workshops and events! An AMAZING inaugural Kingston International Film festival”
Described by festival-goers and film-makers as “impressive”, “ambitious” “diverse” with a “fantastic buzz”, the inaugural festival in June 2022 showcased incredible UK and international talent across a variety of competition categories, alongside workshops with a host of talent from composers to stuntmen, networking events, industry panel, and a charity fund-raising screening in aid of Ukraine. The three-day event, which garnered audiences of all ages from all over the UK to venues across Kingston, including Rose Theatre and The Odeon, culminated in a show-stopping awards ceremony with prizes to the value of £35k.
For one glamorous June weekend Kingston was – as the festival director David Cunningham hoped- every bit the Cannes-on-Thames he envisaged.
