INTRODUCING: THE KIFF PALE ALE

KIFF – PROBABLY THE ONLY FESTIVAL TO HAVE A BEER NAMED

AFTER IT.

We are thrilled to announce in celebration of our 2023 edition of KIFF, Park

Brewery in Kingston are brewing a Pale Ale which will be on sale prior to

and during the festival.

In addition, as part of a series of promotional events across the borough

we are joining forces the brewery screening a selection of last year’s

winning films on 19th April, this year. More information to follow.

Josh and Frankie Kearns, husband and wife, set up The Park Brewery in

2014 with the aim of creating really sumptuous juicy beers. Hop forward,

stand out ales to be savoured and enjoyed.

Inspired by the new wave of microbreweries surfacing 2012/13, and loving

the great beers coming through, Josh purchased a home brew kit to learn

more about the process and started experimenting with the wonderful

world of hops.

Obsessive home brewing followed throughout 2013 and after encouraging

feedback from friends and local bottle shops, they made the leap,

investing in a small kit, (200 litres). They found a tiny work space and Josh

was booted out of the family kitchen, to continue the brewing adventure.

By 2015, Frankie was fully onboard and they were hand bottling, labelling,

packaging and delivering 2-3 batches a week. Unable to produce enough

to meet demand they invested again trebling their capacity.

This enabled them to keg and cask the beers, as well as expanding their reach and building a community of lovely folk who were enjoying their new

enterprise.
