February Festival Update

I am pleased to announce that preparations for our 2023 festival are

underway, and we are seeing some really great and interesting films and screenplays being submitted. Firstly, I would like to thank the Royal Borough of Kingston for their continued support, along with the Rose Theatre and Kingston University. In addition, those Founding Partners and their ongoing support - The Rotunda, LipSync Post, VMI-TV. I am also delighted to announce three new partnerships with Time + Space, Zeiss, and New Day Pictures.

We are just about to go into preproduction with last year’s winning

screenplay Hocknord written by Hattie Cook. Hattie has been working with director Mark Brennan developing the script and we will be casting next week. Once underway, we will be giving you plenty of peeks behind the scenes and will run A Making Of...series on our YouTube channel.

An exciting new edition to this year’s programme will be an outdoor

screening on the evening of Saturday 24th June with a huge screen in

Canbury Gardens. The film has not yet been decided but we do know it

will be a timeless, family film. We have not yet decided on the film, but we can tell you it will be a timeless, family film. You are welcome to help us make this decision. Please send us your suggestions to info@kiffest.uk. Please put the words Canbury Screening in the subject line of your email.

The festival will again be featuring screenings of both shorts and

feature films, to see the full list of our awards categories please visit the

submissions page on our website: Submissions.

In addition, another programme of workshops, which proved to be so popular last year, as well as more networking sessions and the well-received Industry Panel.

Finally please don’t forget if you have any questions regarding the festival or indeed if there is anything you would like to talk to us about please email info@kiffest.uk.

I look forward to welcoming you all to KIFF 2023 this June.

Best wishes,

David Cunningham, Festival Founder & Director
